Assistant Manager

Honey Mercantile is a new boutique located in north San Antonio. If you love working as part of a team and enjoy helping others, join us as an Assistant Manager.

Assistant Manager Job Responsibilities:

  • Operational Excellence:

    • Implement and enforce operational policies, procedures, and best practices.

    • Monitor inventory levels and product quality to maintain optimal levels.

  • Team Leadership:

    • Mentor store staff to ensure they deliver exceptional customer service, meet performance targets, exceed expectations, and are knowledgeable about productions.

    • Create a positive and inclusive work environment that fosters teamwork, motivation, and accountability.

    • Create weekly and monthly staffing schedules to ensure that the shop is adequately staffed for profitability and efficiency.

  • Customer Experience:

    • Champion a customer-centric approach, ensuring that all team members prioritize customer satisfaction and engagement.

  • Sales and Revenue Growth:

    • Execute strategies to achieve sales targets and maximize store profitability.

    • Work with Manager to identify opportunities for product assortment optimization and promotion effectiveness.

  • Visual Merchandising and Store Layout:

    • Collaborate with Manager to oversee the layout and visual presentation of products to optimize customer flow and enhance the shopping experience.

    • Ensure that displays are attractive, well-maintained, and aligned with brand standards.

  • Compliance and Safety:

    • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to health, safety, and sanitation.

    • Implement security measures to safeguard people, merchandise and assets.

Part-time: 20-30 hours per week

Pay: $17-$22 per hour

Experience Level: 5 years

Work Location: 4272 TPC Parkway, Suite 107; San Antonio, Texas 78261

Assistant Manager Skills and Qualifications:

  • Must have experience and a love for small business and a boutique setting.
  • Previous experience in an administrative or assistant management role preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Knowledge of retail math and market trends
  • Familiarity with sales management principles and techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in basic math calculations
